Frequently asked questions

Short answers about what CruiseFare does, where the prices come from, and how we make money.

Does CruiseFare sell cruises?

No. CruiseFare is a price comparison tool, not a seller. We take no payment and issue no travel documents.

Every booking happens on the website of the platform you chose, and that platform's payment, cancellation and refund terms apply.

Where do the prices come from, and how old can they be?

Prices come from partner feeds, from what each platform publishes on its own website, and from manual entry. We do not query platforms live when you search.

Every price is shown with the date we last checked it, and if it is older than that platform's freshness threshold we label it as possibly out of date.

Why can a platform's price differ at checkout?

What we show is the starting per-person price for that cabin type on the date we checked. The real price moves with remaining availability, promotions, taxes, fees, port charges and exchange rates.

The final price is always the one the platform confirms at checkout, not the one shown on CruiseFare.

How does CruiseFare make money?

We earn an affiliate commission from a platform when you book through our link. Using CruiseFare costs you nothing extra.

Commission does not affect the order platforms appear in. We sort them by price, cheapest first, and we show every platform we have data for, including ones that pay us nothing.

Which languages and currencies are supported?

The site is available in Thai and English, and prices can be shown in Thai baht (THB) or US dollars (USD).

When a source price is in another currency we convert it at the rate for the date shown, and say underneath the price which currency it was converted from.
